Signs you may need flea control
- Pets scratching and biting constantly
- Small itchy bites around ankles
- Tiny dark specks (flea dirt) in pet bedding
- Small jumping insects on carpets or socks
What causes the problem
Fleas arrive on pets, wildlife like raccoons and stray cats, or from a previous occupant's pets. Warm, humid weather speeds their life cycle.
Why professional treatment matters
Flea pupae resist most treatments and keep hatching for weeks. A professional treatment with a growth regulator targets every life stage indoors and in shaded yard areas.
Our treatment approach
- Inspection to find where pets rest and fleas concentrate
- Interior treatment of carpets, rugs and furniture
- Growth regulator to stop eggs and larvae from developing
- Exterior treatment of shaded resting areas
- Follow-up visit if needed
What to expect
Vacuum well before and after treatment and treat pets through your veterinarian at the same time. You may see a few fleas for up to two weeks as pupae hatch and contact the treatment.
Prevention tips
- Keep pets on a vet-recommended flea preventive
- Vacuum often and wash pet bedding in hot water
- Keep wildlife from nesting under decks and porches

Flea Control FAQs
Why am I still seeing fleas after treatment?
Pupae hatch over one to two weeks. Keep vacuuming, which triggers hatching so new fleas contact the treatment.
